DIY Elderberry Tonic Kit

Elderberry Tonic Kits are made with organic ingredients. Each kit will yield approx. 16 oz. (depending upon liquid reduction and how much sweetener is added). Elderberry Tonic is perfect for immune support! This handcrafted, healthy and delicious natural remedy can be used daily, as well as during acute illness. Each recipe of our Elderberry Tonic Kits feature Organic Elderberries and additional organic dried herbs. Both kits are good for ages 1 and up. Children under the age of 1 should not consume honey.

INGREDIENTS:
Organic dried elderberries, organic ceylon cinnamon, organic ginger root, and organic cloves

Elderberries are one of the top nutritional berries, full of natural benefits for health and contain excellent vitamins and minerals. Elderberries are great source of vitamin A, C, B, Thiamine, Riboflavin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Folate and Pantothenic Acid. The minerals are Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sodium, Zinc, Copper and Selenium. Besides the Elderberries you will have the following 3 herbs in your Kit.

Ginger - has ingredients called gingerols. This is the medicinal part of the plant. Ginger has Vitamin B3, B6, Riboflavin, Vitamin C, Iron, Phosphorus, Potassium Niacin, Magnesium, Folate and Zinc.

Ceylon Cinnamon - out ranks garlic as a super food. We not only use it for health benefits but to give great flavor.

Cloves - are high in antioxidants and are full of vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Folate, Choline and Betaine. Mineral are Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sodium, Zinc, Copper, Manganese, Selenium.

Raw Honey (add your own)- contains up to 80 different substances important to human nutrition. Besides glucose and fructose, honey contains: All of the B-complex, A, C, D, E, and K, minerals and trace elements: magnesium, sulfur, phosphorus, iron, calcium, chlorine, potassium, iodine, sodium, copper, and manganese. The live enzyme content of honey is one of the highest of all foods.

*Please note the herbs can vary in either whole form, cut & sifted, or powdered based on current availability.

*Please note the end consistency is more of a liquid or elixir. Each kit will yield roughly 30-40 adult servings if using 1 tablespoon serving sizes. Children size is 1 teaspoon and will yield roughly 50-60 servings.

OTHER ITEMS NEEDED ON HAND TO MAKE:
Water, sweetener and a glass bottle for storage (canning jar works great).
I prefer and recommend using local raw organic honey for the additional health benefits. You can however, use any preferred method of sweetener; Maple Syrup, Agave or Stevia.

DIRECTIONS:
Easy to follow directions are included. The end consistency is more like juice. Kit also includes a brewing bag, gloves and a serving suggestion sticker to place on your bottle. 

KIT STORAGE:
Keep in a dry, cool place. Can be stored in the provided resealable packaging, or store in a glass jar away from direct sunlight. The packaging is a kraft food grade pouch with a stand up bottom and zip closure seal to maintain freshness. 

SYRUP USAGE:
Store syrup in your refrigerator, shake well before use. Adults take 1 Tbsp. and children over 12 months of age can take 1 tsp daily as a possible preventative. Increase to 2-3 times a day during acute illness until symptoms disappear. Other than raw honey, the syrup contains no artificial preservatives and is best used within 6 weeks, even though it may last much longer as honey is a great natural preservative.
